In The Media

Thanks to the vigilance and hard work of the local Bedford American Legion Post 54, who were alerted to the plans to erect the bust of Stalin at the National D-Day Memorial, the story became known to the wider public. The Post, on November 17, 2009 unanimously passed a resolution calling for the termination of plans to erect the bust.

Despite the unveiling of the bust on June 1, 2010, their efforts to fight to have Stalin’s bust removed from the National D-Day Memorial continue.
